Voices of Change has been a driving force for the creation and promotion of new and unique chamber music since 1974. We produce new and rarely performed pieces by composers from the 20th and 21st centuries, with a focus on currently living composers. Our programs can be tailored to the size of the performance space and all feature works by composers who don’t fit inside the usual box. The standard repertoire includes contemporary works by prominent women composers Augusta Read Thomas, Yuko Uebayashi, Libby Larsen and Stacy Garrop, as well as Latino composers Carlos Chavez, Joachín Turina, and Astor Piazola, whose “Nightclub 1960” is an audience favorite. Voices of Change is an established, nationally known professional ensemble with a Grammy nomination and an unprecedented 5 ASCAP awards.
