Charlcombe Community Nature Reserve is a quiet place for nature and the community to enjoy. The reserve encompasses 16 acres of meadow, hedgerows, streams and woodland across the Upper West and East Fields, known historically as Great Park and Mudcombe. In 2024, the Friends of Charlcombe Community Nature Reserve was established to manage this special place, in partnership with the landowner, Bath and North East Somerset Council. As local residents and volunteers, we aim to improve these habitats and create a place where nature – from butterflies to birds, wildflowers, frogs and toads – can flourish, and the community can connect with wildlife.
