I’m Jen, and my journey with diets started far too young—joining Weight Watchers at just 11 years old. For much of my adult life, I bounced between diets and restriction, leaving me feeling stuck and broken. My self-esteem hit rock bottom, my weight dictated my worth, and thoughts about food and my body consumed most of my headspaceBut that wasn’t the end of my story. Over time, I found a way to take back control. I learned to overcome emotional eating, approach my body with kindness, and break free from all-or-nothing thinking. By redefining my “why” behind health and well-being, I not only changed my own life but also discovered a passion for helping other women do the same. It’s time to say goodbye to food and body shame and break the cycle—for ourselves and for future generations.As part of my personal growth, I noticed something missing in Wigan—a space where like-minded women could come together to explore well-being outside the grip of diet culture.
