North Atlanta Leader: Ashley VelezThe North Atlanta, GA Chapter of the Women Entrepreneurs Secrets of Success Network (WESOS) brings together women entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals to build authentic relationships, collaborate, and share resources, so that we can find mutual support in growing successful businesses. At WESOS, we believe that leadership is not just about guiding others—it’s about showing up with heart, authenticity, and a deep-rooted desire to see women succeed. That’s why I am absolutely thrilled to introduce you to our newest WESOS Chapter Leader, Ashley Velez, who will be launching our North Atlanta chapter in the coming months!Ashley was introduced to me by our incredible Aurora, IL leader, Jennifer Richardson (who always seems to have an eye for amazing women). From the very first conversation, I felt an immediate connection with Ashley. There’s a warmth about her that draws you in, a sense of calm confidence that makes you feel seen and heard. You know those conversations where time just disappears because you’re so engaged, inspired, and energized? That’s what it’s like talking to Ashley.Ashley brings a strong and vibrant professional background to her new leadership role. She’s a skilled marketer and writer with a passion for helping small businesses shape their brand narratives and maximize the power of local visibility. But what really stands out is her genuine love for people and community. She thrives in creative environments, finds joy in lifting others up, and is constantly thinking about how to make things better—for her clients, her colleagues, and now, for her WESOS Sisters. She describes herself as curious, intuitive, and self-motivated—and those qualities shine through in everything she does. Whether she’s streamlining processes or mentoring others to uncover their potential, Ashley leads with both heart and strategy. She is endlessly fascinated by the future of work and how organizations can become places where people feel valued, empowered, and inspired.Ashley is also what I’d call a “connection catalyst”—someone who not only understands the importance of building strong relationships but also knows how to create spaces where those relationships flourish. It’s no surprise that her leadership style is rooted in nurturing others. She’s the kind of leader who listens deeply, encourages freely, and sees the best in people—often before they see it in themselves. As someone who has always loved the Atlanta area, I personally can’t wait to visit Ashley’s chapter and meet the amazing women who will join her on this journey. I know she will build a space that reflects the very best of what WESOS is—a place where women come together to grow, support one another, and refuse to let each other fail.Ashley, thank you for saying yes to this role. Thank you for stepping into leadership with such intention and grace. We are beyond lucky to have you, and I know your chapter is going to be a beacon of connection and possibility for women entrepreneurs in North Atlanta.Welcome to the WESOS Leadership Team. Let the journey begin!
