Andrea Purry was born in Oakland, California. She moved to Brandon, Mississippi, with her mom and dad and three younger siblings as an adolescent. She graduated from Brandon High School. She has earned multiple degrees, including a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in History from Jackson State University and an Associate's in Theology from Life Christian University.She has over 18 years of experience in Human Resources in the United States Army Reserve. While serving in the military, she was deployed twice to Kuwait. She has been on several tours in Egypt, Germany, Cuba, and other stateside assignments. While in Kuwait, she assisted in coordinating the reception, staging, onward movement, and integration (RSO&I) of over 50,000 soldiers and civilians. She was responsible for mentoring, morale and welfare, administration, and overall functions of the operations section, including communication between operation cell and internal agencies and between the theater gateway and external agencies. She also assisted in receiving and processing Theater Clearance Requests, resulting in timely turnarounds for personnel traveling to Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan throughout Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.After entering the United States Military, Andrea has worked as a Human Resource Specialist, Logistics Specialist, and Accountability Specialist. She also worked in the Psychology field as a Community Support Specialist at Region IV Mental Health Clinic and 412th Engineering TEC Army Unit as a Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator. These professions helped shape Andrea's care and compassionate drive to help people. She also taught GED for Itawamba Community College for three years. Andrea loves teaching, coaching, and training individuals to their most excellent state.Andrea has received several awards while serving in the military (3) Certificates of Appreciation (1) Army Achievement Medal (2) ARCOM -Army Commendation Medal (1) MSM – Meritorious Service Medal.Andrea is an active auntie and loves her eight wonderful nieces and nephews. She loves writing, singing, cooking, watching cooking shows, and traveling. She enjoys Administration, Self-Improvement, Personal Development, Economics, Relationship-building, Wealth building, and Religious Studies.Andrea Purry started Super Supporters for Singles (SS4S) in May 2020. She wanted to help singles in any way she could. She used Facebook to go live and bless mothers from donations for another singles venture she started in 2020. In November 2020 she became a part of the Porter Sanders Family Foundation. She took office as the secretary in January 2021. March 2021 She gave a presentation to expand Super Supporters for Single's as a program a part of the family foundation. She Launched the program in 2021 August while also hosting the first Annual Whole Women's Conference.She equips and activates people. She is a team-oriented achiever who motivates members to exceed expectations. She hosts two bi-weekly podcasts: Triumphant Tuesdays and The Godly View, which provide a safe place for Christians to thrive and have the life they want and empower others to do the same.Andrea loves positive affirmations. Her motto in life "is always to think as you want to be; positive thinking can make you successful and motivated to help others think the same." She joined the Human Resources Training Team at the Tower Loan home office in June 2022.
