Working in partnership with Richmond Council, Barnes Common Limited (BCL) a local independent charity oversees the stewardship of Barnes Common, the Leg o' Mutton Local Nature Reserve and Vine Road Recreation Ground (affectionately known as Vine Road Park).Formed in 1992 as the Friends of Barnes Common (FoBC), BCL has been a not-for-profit, limited liability company with charitable status since April 2013.Conservation has always been at the heart of all that we do and continues to be today. Whether we are preserving precious woodlands, creating important wildlife habitats, sowing seeds in our Community Growing area, introducing the community to the bats at Leg o' Mutton or engaging the community in our Lifelong Learning program, the Vine Road Project and Flood Resilience.We host a number of events throughout the year, including:Walks and Talks, Woodland Management, Family activities, Community eventsOur Vision:Conservation, Biodiversity, Wellbeing.
