The foundation of our all inclusive philosophy lies in our Mandate which reads:- Every child who has a wish to (learn) dance should be given a chance to do so- Every child who has a wish to perform dance should be given the chance to do so- Every child who has a wish to create dance should be given the chance to do so.Pia Bouman School offers programs for all ages and for all levels, from the very young to the pre-professional and mature student. Students can receive a complete education in Classical Ballet, enriched by Creative Movement, Contemporary Dance, and National Dance.2021 is the 36th year for Pia Bouman School’s annual performance of Tchaikovsky’s beloved Nutcracker! Toronto’s most family-friendly and longest-running Nutcracker.“Our Nutcracker has become a tradition for many: families, friends and strangers. In the eight weeks leading up to the performances, our students learn the dances, develop their stage characters and take ownership of “their” Nutcracker, their story. Our Nutcracker is a story for the young and the old, it is a story of questioning and discovery. This Nutcracker is not an ordinary old Nutcracker…it has magic and we can all feel it”.- Pia Bouman, Artistic Director
