Our retreat is the perfect opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and connect with your inner creativity. Don't miss out on this unique experience!

Join us on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 9:00 AM in Betchworth, Surrey,for a day of rejuvenation and inspiration. Our day retreat is designed to nourish your creative soul through yoga, art, and delicious food.

Weather permitting, the day will be held outside in a spacious and tranquil garden. If weather does not allow, the day will move inside to equally inspiring surroundings.

Start your day with a gentle yoga session to awaken your body and mind. Then, explore your creativity through a guided art workshop where you'll have the opportunity to experiment with different mediums and techniques.

After working up an appetite, we'll provide a delicious and nutritious lunch to fuel your body and mind. Take some time to relax and reflect before repeating the cycle with another art session in the afternoon.

Host/Event Organiser - Helen Clifford-Jones

After an extensive career in Publishing and event management, Helen is now a full-time practising artist, living and working in Surrey, England. Helen is currently working on participating in two exhibitions in 2024 is currently completing a BA at West Dean College in Art and Contemporary Craft .

The idea of these creative day retreats is for people who want to practice their yoga, take an art class suitable for all levels and enjoy a sumptuous feast! Helen is passionate about all three activities and looks forward to delivering a fantastic experience,with her team, and share the day with likeminded people.

Yoga Teacher - Lucinda Davies

Lucinda's first inspirational experience of yoga was 30 years ago on a rooftop in Rishikesh, India, with 83-year-old Swami Krishna! However, her real love of yoga began to emerge 6 years ago after her 3 children had started school and she began a regular yoga practice and started to experience the joyous physical and mental benefits yoga can offer us all.

Lucinda's passion for holistic health and wellbeing has woven through her life for the last 25 years as both a nurse and currently as a practicing midwife.

She recently qualified in the 200hr YTT. Her teaching draws on several types of yoga, hatha, vinyasa and yoga rhythm. Her classes explore different types of breathwork and the movement of breath in the body using postures. Lucinda guides students mindfully into the journey of a posture, with a keen focus on alignment and with a deep respect for our unique bodies.

Painting workshop teacher - Kiri Jones

Born in Surrey, Kiri completed a B.A at Norwich School of Art and went on to do a post-graduate degree at the Royal Academy Schools in London where she was taught life drawing by Norman Blamey R.A., exhibited at the Summer Exhibition, and was awarded several scholarships and prizes. After graduation she lived in London with a Studio in Streatham Hill. In 2012 Kiri moved to Dorking to be nearer the inspirational landscape of the Surrey Hills. Her work tries to capture the sense of emotional wellbeing that a walk through this beautiful landscape brings. A recent body of work has focused on an area of Surrey Woodland in Dorking called The Nower, which she walks in most days with her dog Ivy.
