Founded on April 30, 1900 by a group of women who met at Mrs. B.F. Dillingham’s Makiki cottage, YWCA O‘ahu is now the oldest and largest women’s membership organization in Hawai‘i. Over the years, the organization has expanded its programs and services reaching women throughout the islands at three facilities on O‘ahu and one on Maui.For 125 years, YWCA O‘ahu, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been a leader in providing critical services and opportunities for women and young women to succeed in life. Its core programs include economic advancement, leadership and business development, and advocacy.
