The Zamir Chorale of Boston’s mission is to awaken audiences of all ages, religions, and races to the breadth and beauty of Jewish culture. Founded in 1969 by Dr. Joshua Jacobson, Artistic Director, Zamir educates, inspires, and entertains through performances, symposia, recordings, publications, and the commissioning of new musical works.Zamir performs music spanning hundreds of years and four continents. The Chorale's repertoire includes Jewish liturgical pieces, major classical works, music of the Holocaust, as well as Israeli, Yiddish, and Ladino folksongs, and now offers virtual programming.
