Hi, I'm Katie, and I'm dedicated to supporting, empowering and celebrating the cleft community, parents and professional in education.As a trauma coach, teacher and artist, I guide parents of children with cleft and individuals born with cleft to work through their trauma and navigate the challenges this unique journey can bring. I also support the wider parenting community and those working in schools to understand the whole person and how to navigate challenging scenarios with confident, resilience and compassion.My mission is to help you navigate your journey with confidence, peace and the strength to thrive in life.I’m a passionate coach, teacher and artist with a deep and personal understanding of the emotional struggles that come with a cleft diagnosis and living with cleft.Eighteen years ago, my daughter was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. I felt lost, scared and confused, and it was only once I committed to working through my trauma that I understood how to best support her through life. This learning has impacted every area of my life in incredible ways which is why I am now so passionate about sharing the knowledge and information which is still not readily available.Through my coaching and teaching, I’ve helped numerous parents and individuals transform feelings of fear and doubt into long-term confidence and self-assurance. working with the body and the mind root cause resolution is absolutely available to everyone.In addition to my coaching, I’m also an artist, creating personalised portraits that reflect the inner strength and beauty of cleft-born people.This year, I'll be hosting my 100 Cleft Portraits Exhibition to display my work and celebrate the resilience and beauty of the cleft community.If you're a parent, I can guide you through the process of understanding your child's needs, help you work through the emotional aspects of a cleft diagnosis and empower you to raise your child with confidence.If you're an individual born with cleft, I'll help you overcome feelings of isolation and self-doubt, and make peace with the emotional scars you carry.I do all this through:- One-to-one trauma-informed coaching for parents and teachers- Online courses- An intimate group membership for parentsAll designed to give you ongoing support and practical tools to navigate life. For those who want a more personal experience, I also take custom portrait commissions - artwork that celebrates who you are.Ultimately, I’m here to provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel understood, inspired and ready to live life exactly how you want to.
