The Lima Affiliate of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice (NABCJ) is part of a 501c3 nonprofit, multi ethnic, nonpartisan association of criminal justice professionals and community leaders dedicated to improving the administration of justice on the local, state and federal levels. We are a national organization with state chapters and local affiliates whose mission is to examine and act upon the needs, concerns and contributions of African Americans and other people of color as it relates to the administration of equal justice. Locally, we have served the Lima community for 17 years through volunteerism in schools, mentorship, fundraising for agencies such as Crime Victim Services, and providing over twenty-five $500 scholarship awards to area college students of differing ages, ethnicities and areas of study. We are excited to continue that legacy of service through ongoing partnerships with the Lima Police Department, Mayor’s Office, Lima City Schools, local business and community leaders.
