A proud veteran, Doug served in the United States Navy for 24 years, retiring as a Navy Chief. His military career was marked by dedication and resilience, qualities that now guide his mission to help others achieve their fullest potential in both personal and professional endeavors.After his military service, Doug pursued his calling in ministry, serving as the Pastor of Pastoral Care, Membership Services, and Member Assimilation. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Workforce Education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (Jacksonville, Florida), reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning and equipping others for success.Doug recently retired from an 11-year tenure as a Corporate Trainer II with ServiceLink’s LoanCare Mortgage Servicing. In this role, he facilitated New Hire Orientation, Leadership Coaching, and Personality Discovery programs, empowering individuals and teams with the tools to thrive in professional environments.A certified "Life Coach" through the Orange County Life Coach Institute, Doug is also a certified "Trainer" for Take Flight Learning and Coaching in Style, as well as a John Maxwell D.I.S.C. "Trainer" and a Maxwell Leadership Certified Team Member. These certifications showcase his expertise in personal development, leadership coaching, and team-building strategies.In honor of his daughter Tiffany, who passed away from stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 34, Doug, along with his wife Gwendolyn, founded A Touch of Clarity. This non-profit organization is dedicated to raising awareness about colon cancer, dispelling the misconception that it is solely an “old person’s disease.” Through A Touch of Clarity, Doug channels his faith and personal loss into advocacy and education, making a tangible difference in the lives of many.With a career spanning ministry, military service, and corporate leadership, Doug continues to inspire and empower individuals to grow, lead with integrity, and live a life rooted in faith and purpose.
