Kathe Lisy is a former art teacher who enjoyed a 31-year career dedicated to teaching fine art, crafts and computer art to students in grades K-12. She will be offering a six-class workshop series entitled Artistic Animals at Bella Moxie in July. Now retired, she devotes her time to painting and exhibiting her work as a mixed media artist.Kathe finds inspiration in the extraordinary beauty found in ordinary moments in and around her suburban neighborhood. Whether on daily walks, while bike riding or simply a quick glance out her kitchen window, she’s continually amazed at what her artist eye captures. She’s able to transform those visual snapshots into the vibrant images she creates on canvas. In addition to the joys of raising her granddaughter, she finds time for reading, bike riding, and of course painting!
