Igniting Learning JourneysThe Child Development Centre (CDC), a non-profit organisation that focuses on maximising the benefits to our community, uniquely provides support to the widest spectrum of Special Educational Needs (SEN) issues in English and Chinese in Hong Kong. As our society evolves, our understanding of how children learn has changed. We also know that some children learn very differently so it is vital to provide differentiated education to help them learn effectively. We are an organisation with strong convictions and ambitious goals:We believe all children can develop their strengths to flourish.We believe every child deserves a fair opportunity and right to learn alongside their peers.We strive to be accessible to families in need in the Hong Kong community.We treasure partnerships with families.We offer specialised early childhood education, therapy and assessment for children with additional needsWe serve children with a wide range of abilities, providing education, assessment and therapy all under one roof.We provide personalised programmes in supportive small group and individual settings.Our services are delivered by our multidisciplinary team, comprising occupational therapists, speech therapists, SEN teachers, Special childcare workers, Social workers and Psychologists.We maintain a 1:3 adult-to-child ratio.We provide education for parents and professionals, offer practical advice and share information to help meet long and short-term needs.
