SoundsWell Singers is a singing group for people with neurological conditions including (but not limited to) Parkinson's Disease, Huntington's Disease, Aphasia post-stroke and early Dementia. It is co-lead by two NZ Registered Music Therapists, with input from a Speech Language Therapist. It has a dual therapeutic focus, looking at both the physical and emotional health of those involved.The choir is a friendly and welcoming group of people, who all enjoy the chance to get together weekly to sing and socialise, all within a supportive environment. Support people are welcome. No choir or singing experience needed!No referral is needed. Call for further information, or just turn up to try out a session on a Friday.Fee structure:$10 to attend, which includes morning tea and the attendance of a support person.
