Sabeel Center, located in Des Plaines, a northwestern suburb of Chicago, is a strategic community initiative of theIslamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA®), a global leader in halal services. IFANCA (www.ifanca.org) was established in Chicago in 1982 as a not-for-profit organization, and provides halal certification, halal market development, halal product and process development, and halal education.Sabeel Center aims to serve the community with its 4 strategic objectives:ØAn art gallery depicting various aspects of the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad [PBUH];ØA lecture series consisting of 18 categories, including Muslim Diplomat series, Family Movie Nights, Young Scholars etc.;ØHalal cooking classes for young children, teenagers, adults, and executive chefs; andØProgramming and activities for senior citizens.
