The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. – Zeta Zeta Chapter is a professional organization of effective educators in all areas of the learning spectrum. We are dedicated to the education and uplifting of youth and adults in our community to help them develop and enhance their skills, attitudes and ethics. We believe that education and training are the vehicle by which all dreams can be pursued."To Foster a Spirit of Sisterhood Among Teachers and to Promote the Highest Ideals of the Teaching Profession"Zeta Zeta Chapter was chartered on June 13, 2021 in Rochester, New York at the Hyatt Hotel.Zeta Zeta chapter was organized virtually on Zoom during the COVID-19 Pandemic by Mrs. Eva J. Thomas, a former Kappa Omicron Tau member. A zoom meeting was held on January 13, 2021 to look at the possibility of chartering a chapter in Rochester, NY. On February 5, 2021, a virtual interest meeting was held for 44 registered educators.Zeta Zeta was sponsored by two NSPDK chapters, Theta, Basileus Cathleen Synder and Beta Omicron, Basileus Diane Hewitt. These chapters worked hard to support the Dynamic 19 ladies known as Rochester Original Charter (R.O.C.) Sisters: Ronda Wade, LoWan S. Brown, Dr. Tara K. Wade, Denise Greenaway, Diane Watkins (Recording Secretary), Kerri Greenaway, Cynthia Robinson, Michelle Killings, Audrey J. Korokeyi, Wanda Samuel, Dr. Eva J. Thomas (President), Rhonda Neal, Dr. Stacy B. Killings, Dr. Djinga St. Louis, Anita Jones, Dr. Valeria B. Hill (Treasurer), Kelli M. Briggs (1st Vice President), Latresha Fuller, and Tiffany D. Lee. Soror Noreen E. Little, 1st Supreme Anti-Basileus served as the chapter’s Co-Dean along with Soror Donna Sowerby.Zeta Zeta became the 144th chapter of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc.
