Warehouse Radio is an underground radio and event organizer based in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 2019 by Dr. Mendez. Warehouse Radio has quickly gained a reputation for pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the local music scene.Dr. Mendez grew up in France and was always passionate about music. After completing his PhD in Pharmacology, he decided to move to Australia and explore the local music scene. He settled in Bondi, a vibrant beachside suburb in Sydney, and began attending local shows and DJ sets.Inspired by the raw spirit of the underground music scene, Dr. Mendez decided to start his own radio station and event company. He recruited a team of like-minded individuals and they began broadcasting from a makeshift studio in a warehouse in Bondi. The station played a mix of techno, house, and experimental electronic music, and quickly gained a following among music lovers in the city.Dr. Mendez and his team were also known for putting on unique and immersive events, often in unconventional locations like abandoned buildings, Boat or outdoor spaces. Despite facing some challenges from local authorities who were wary of the underground nature of the events, Warehouse Radio continued to grow. Dr. Mendez was committed to creating a space where people could come together and experience music in a way that was free from the commercial constraints of mainstream culture.As Warehouse Radio gained more attention, Dr. Mendez started to receive offers from bigger venues and promoters who wanted to work with him. But he remained committed to the raw ethos that had inspired him from the beginning, and continued to prioritize the underground community that had supported him.Today, Warehouse Radio is one of the most respected and influential players in Sydney's underground music scene. Dr. Mendez and his team continue to push boundaries and challenge norms, creating spaces where people can come together to experience music in a way that is raw, authentic, and truly unforgettable.
