Bishop Mona Reide made history in 2017 as the first female Bishop with full rights in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. In 2012 she made history as the first female Suffragan Bishop in Michigan and first female with an international appointment in Ghana, West Africa. She was licensed in 1992 and ordained in 1997 by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., She currently serves as the Diocesan Bishop of Sierra Leone West Africa, where she oversees severa churches, schools, and varius community empowerment activities including a series of Safe Water development projects and child nutrition and health initiatives.Since 1992 Bishop Reide has planted several churches and provided pastoral and ministerial instruction on biblical deliverance, baptism, foot washing, communion, and discipleship principles. She has trained over 2000 religious and humanitarian volunteers to serve in other countries. Dr Reide has worked with Heads of State including Presidents and Ambassadors; along with Ministries for Women and Children Affairs, Health, Education, Culture and Religion, and NGO groups. She has led religious crusades, disaster relief efforts, free health screening, children's nutrition and education programs, women's empowerment training, as well as providing micro business loans and school scholarships for K-12 and university students.Dr. Reide has an earned doctorate from Wayne State University and a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan. Her professional back ground includes 34 years in the academic and nonprofit arena, including providing academic oversight for family based programs with an annual budget of $50 million dollars,
