Melbourne-Palm Bay Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is located in Brevard County, Florida. Since our chartering on April 29, 1989, by 20 visionary leaders, we have upheld the legacy of our 22 founders through our commitment to Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Social Action. As a dynamic chapter of 58 dedicated members, we are devoted to making a meaningful impact through our five-point programmatic thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness & Involvement, Physical & Mental Health, and Political Awareness & Involvement (Social Action).We are held to the highest standards and entrusted with the mission of making the world “a little greater” through our service. We approach this work with unwavering confidence and the belief that our efforts will create a lasting, positive impact.Our current theme is “LOVE in Service.” Infusing love into our service transforms our actions into profound expressions of human connection and solidarity. “LOVE in Service” promotes unity and mutual support within our chapter and the communities we serve. It strengthens our bonds and fosters a more compassionate and caring society. This theme reminds us of each individual’s inherent value and the significant impact of kindness. It encourages us to embrace and reflect the nine Cardinal Virtues—compassion, courtesy, dedication, fellowship, fidelity, honesty, justice, purity, and temperance—in all our interactions.
