We don’t just teach students how to design the garment of their dreams — we make sure they know how to sell it. In this program, you’ll learn to translate your vision from the drafting board to the runway to the sales floor. Our curriculum includes courses in figure drawing, illustration and costume design as well as business, marketing, accounting and economics. Thanks to this integrated approach, you’ll graduate with the creative and practical skills to stand out in today’s multibillion-dollar fashion industry.As a Fashion Design and Merchandising major, your curriculum includes courses in textile and apparel manufacturing, fashion merchandising, retailing, consumer action, marketing, administration, accounting and economics. You can also choose from a wide range of art-making courses such as figure drawing, fashion illustration, and costume and interior design. You will be able to gain hands-on industry experience through full-time internships and cooperative education experiences with a range of companies that develop, produce and promote fashion.
