The L.C. & Hazel Ross Memorial Scholarship fund was established in 1998 to provide education awards to deserving African American graduates of El Dorado High School with financial needs. Funds are generated annually by a weekend blitz of activities to raise money and bring the community together to celebrate the life and legacy of two great community leaders, who were always unselfish in helping others, giving of their time and finances while providing educational opportunities to those with a desire to achieve.
