Alex is a talented hand embroidery artist and mother of two who discovered the therapeutic benefits of hand embroidery as a way to manage the stresses of daily life. What started as a means of coping with the challenges of motherhood and maintaining her mental health has blossomed into a flourishing passion and creative outlet. Over the course of four years, Alex has begun cultivating a strong online community of crafters on her Instagram and TikTok under the name Happy Hobby (@HappyHobby_ca) where she shares her art story and teaches others how to stitch. Alex’s art style is a mix of vibrant florals and realistic line art.Alex is now embarking on a new chapter as an artist by venturing into the realm of in-person workshops. Through this workshop, Alex aims to inspire others to experience the same sense of wellness that embroidery has brought her within a fun and encouraging atmosphere.In addition to her teaching efforts, Alex also offers a range of hand embroidery patterns and accessories for fellow stitchers in her online shop, providing them with the tools and resources to explore their own creativity and calm through the art of hand embroidery. With a deep passion for sharing her love of stitching and a commitment to promoting mental well-being through art, Alex is dedicated to spreading positivity and mindfulness through her craft.
