Lisa Pfau has over 20 years experience teaching academic writing, professional communication, and creativity to students ranging in age 6 to 76. She has worked with individual community tutoring agencies as well as large international institutions, such as the University of Toronto and University of Alberta, to develop writing courses/workshops focused on improving academic and professional communication skills. She has also been tutoring students one-on-one from around the world and country to help them adapt to academic and professional life in Canada. Her own experience studying and living in China, while learning Chinese has helped her to be sensitive to needs to international students. She is currently a part-time Professor in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Science at Humber Polytechnic, and submitting a poetry book on grief and book chapter on social isolation for publication. Lisa loves writing, but her most meaningful work is watching her student reach their full potential on the page and in life.
