Professor Alexander Solovev is a visionary leader in nanotechnology, internationally recognized for his groundbreaking contributions to integrative nanotechnology, nanomachines, microfluidics, clean energy, and biomedical applications of advanced materials. He has held research and academic positions at many of the world’s top institutions, including Harvard University (#1 globally), University of Toronto (#21), Columbia University (#23), Technical University of Munich (#27), Fudan University (#40), and the Max Planck Institute (Europe’s #1 research organization). He has collaborated with globally distinguished scientists across disciplines.Professor Solovev has received a wide range of prestigious awards and fellowships, including a Guinness World Record for creating the smallest man-made jet engine, the Australian Global Talent Award, China’s ‘1000 Talent’ Program, the Dawn Program Award from Shanghai, the Emerging Leader Award from IOP Publishing, the Humboldt Feodor Lynen Fellowship, the Max Planck Fellowship, the University of Toronto Fellowship, the DSM Science and Technology Award (Switzerland), a Dechema Honorable Mention, the STIBET DAAD Prize, and First Prize in the national theoretical mechanics Olympiad. His research group has pioneered several transformative innovations, including a novel technique for fabricating strain-engineered nano- and microtubes, and has initiated a new field focused on catalytic nanomachines capable of autonomous movement and task performance at the microscale. His work supports applications in clean energy generation, environmental sensing, and targeted biomedical delivery systems. Professor Solovev has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications, with more than 6,000 citations and an H-index of 32. Several of his papers have been cited over 700 times, signifying their foundational impact in nanotechnology. He has secured more than $1.5 million USD in national and international competitive research funding.He is the founder of NanoTRIZ (www.nanotriz.com), an AI-powered innovation and education platform, and the Editor-in-Chief of SciVid – The Publisher of Video Science (www.scividjournal.com), an open-access academic video journal designed to revolutionize how scientific knowledge is communicated.
