Hi,I'm Nadiya: Ukrainian, working mom, and a surfer. Recently, I’ve also become a golf enthusiast.I moved to Portugal in August 2022 and found my temporary home here - something I’ll always be grateful for.But while my whole family and friends are in Ukraine, fighting for our existence as a nation, I can't just enjoy the amazing Portuguese nature and take safety for granted. I need to do my part.That’s why on the21st of JulyI’m organizing a Fundraising Golf Tournament in the Algarve. We’re raising €100,000 for a mental and physical rehabilitation program for 100 Ukrainian frontline medics, Repower (repower.ngo). Already, 933 medics have gone through this program in Sweden, Denmark, and Spain.We believe Portugal can become the fourth country to host the program and share its hospitality and support.
