The Rose of Tralee International Festival is a 60-year-old festival held every August in Tralee, Ireland. The festival celebrates remarkable women of Irish descent.There are 60 Rose of Tralee Centres around the world. Luxembourg, Australia, Ireland, United Arab Emirates, Germany, and anywhere that the Irish have immigrated, all proudly participate in the Rose of Tralee Festival.Katherine Quirke and Katie Dooley are dedicated long-term volunteer Coordinators representing the Western Canadian Rose Centre for the past 15 years. Their mission is to source, recognize & showcase potential women Rose candidates from the Western Canadian region, from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.Participants are selected based on their personality, ambitions, social responsibility and contributions to the community.The women we feature are high-performing women that give back generously to their communities and excel in their careers. These women are high achievers, consistently setting high standards of excellence for themselves and others to follow in their examples. The Rose of Tralee program wants to showcase and recognize these women.Help us celebrate these special women who are making a difference in our communities. The Rose of Tralee vision is to continue to work hard to build lasting friendships, promote global networking and celebrate Irish culture.
