The Up and Atom Foundationis an incredible non-profit organization that exists to make educational content free and accessible to everyone, with a special focus on children and adults in under-resourced communities. We believe that everyone has the right to learn about and understand the world around them and to engage with the sciences. Our mission is to make science and educational content free and accessible to everyone, with a special focus on children and adults in underserved communities. We believe that education is a powerful tool for making the world a better place.We are working on raising funds and awareness for our first major project, called Spokane Inner Peace Park!Spokane Inner Peace Park (SIPP)is an innovative indoor community space designed to combat the winter blues by replicating the outdoors with warm lighting, real trees, and plants. SIPP features a science-themed playground for kids, a tranquil area for adults to relax, a walking path, art zone (a colaboration with M.A.D Co Labs ) and weekly teen nights to encourage social interaction without screens. The park also includes a sensory-friendly area for individuals with sensory sensitivities. A small café offers affordable snacks, and access is designed to be free or nearly free for everyone, with a security system similar to a gym membership. SIPP aims to provide a safe, welcoming environment for all ages, fostering community connection and well-being.
