ABOUT ABWAFounded in 1949, theAmerican Business Women's Associationis a prestigious, national organization established for working women and women business owners. ABWA brings together business women of diverse occupations and provides opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.ABOUT THE IMPERIAL RIVER CHAPTERSouthwest Florida is home to several ABWA chapters that meet from Punta Gorda to Naples, but none of the existing meetings are convenient to the busy working women of Estero and Bonita Springs. A team comprised of members from chapters in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Sanibel-Captiva decided to create a new formation to serve this growing area of Lee County.
