Créé en juillet 2007, l'Institut des langues officielles et du bilinguisme (ILOB) poursuit le rôle essentiel joué par l'Institut des langues secondes au sein de la Faculté des arts. Pendant près de 40 ans, l'Institut a cultivé l'excellence dans la promotion des langues secondes à l'Université d'Ottawa et s'est acquis une réputation enviable tant sur le plan de l'enseignement que de la recherche.The Official Languages and Bilgnualism Institure (OLBI) opened officially on July 1, 2007 to pursue the key role played until then by the Second Language Institute (SLI) at the University of Ottawa. For more than 40 years, the SLI had been a cornerstone in the promotion of second languages at the University, enjoying an enviable reputation on both the teaching and research fronts.
