Kadampa Meditation Center Boston is part of an international network of over 1200 Kadampa Buddhist Centers offering a wide variety of meditation classes.From the time Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche founded the first center for modern Buddhism in the UK in 1979, he has emphasized the importance of making the teachings and meditations of modern Buddhism available to people where they live. Kadampa Meditation Centers are major centers, often with a residential community, that offer three study and meditation programs of modern Buddhism- the General Program, Foundation Program and Teacher Training Program.Some are located in rural settings but most are in towns and cities, where many provide classes on Modern Buddhism in commercial spaces, bringing the inner peace of meditation directly into our busy lives.Often located in thriving parts of the city, these commercial spaces offer meditation classes designed to relieve the stress of modern living and help us find inner peace and happiness.
