After completingYoga Alliance Certificationin 2004, Owen was recruited byFederal Occupational Healthin Washington DC. His work evolved to include application-based yoga and its physical, mental, emotional and spiritual tools for the treatment ofPTSD, anxiety, grief, addiction and other trauma-related issues.This work continued internationally with certifications and degrees in a variety ofhealing modalities and alternative medicine styles,adding herbal medicine, Chinese medicine, Thai traditional medicine, Ayurvedaand a variety ofbody work methodsto his toolkit. A graduate ofNew Mexico School of Therapeutics, he formed a blend of hands-on modalities that coexists well with his alignment-based style of yoga–complemented with the energetic healing power of touch, nature and plants.His recent yoga teaching certifications includeYin yoga, mindfulness, yoga philosophy and mindful eating. After years of traveling and countless hours teaching and studying, Owen now brings his unique method and message to students and teachers around the world, actively practicing andteaching classes, workshops and retreatswhile continuing to contract with health and helping agencies to provide leadership, teaching and support for corporate and community wellnessprograms.
