About

Founded in 2016, WOMAG is a women-run and volunteer-led association of professional women and men committed to creating an inclusive community of food and agribusiness professionals. Our mission is to foster the insights required to address the challenges facing the industry in Southeast Asia and build a pool of future leaders for our industry. Our community includes a wide range of individuals from the entire food and agribusiness ecosystem.WOMAG aspires to foster an inclusive environment, where diversity of life and work experiences, race, age, ethnicity are representative of the broader agribusiness community in Singapore, including within WOMAG's leadership. WOMAG has initiated a process to achieve these aims, given the fact that its membership and leadership to date represents only a select subset of the diverse community that it aims to serve. We are in the process of developing a meaningful Diversity & Inclusion Statement by the end of 2021, and we need your involvement in this process! In the meantime our team is evaluating aspects of our operational model to ensure that D&I is considered. These aspects include governance; membership structure and recruitment; leadership training opportunities; local organization partnership building; and event and speaker representation, among others.
