Hi, I’m Jo — Your Joy Coach!“How is your body?How is your heart?How is your mind? “After having spent 10 years in the corporate fashion industry all over Asia and Europe - these three questions laid the ground work for where I am today.Today I am a trained ICF Coach with additional credentials in Somatic and Career & Development Coaching. I am German, based in the Netherlands and South Africa and I have found my purpose in guiding people to what they are truly looking for in life. I am helping women and men to support them through busy life, coping with the “should’s” in their lives. With my background I am especially helping people to prevent burnout or guiding them through it.Several years ago I sought advice from a Life Coach.“I don’t know what I want. What is my purpose? I feel stuck. I feel drained. I can’t continue like this.” What I thought would be a quick fix was the beginning of a long journey towards my real purpose and true Joy.We all have the moment in our life where something just doesn’t feel quite right anymore. Where to begin? Whom to talk to?I poured myself completely into my career, often at the expense of my personal boundaries. In hindsight, this pattern appeared in multiple areas of my life.Working with a Coach helped me recognize the situation I was in. While I started to make changes, time moved faster than my healing process, and my body was already strained beyond its limits. I focused on mental resilience, ignoring the physical warnings my body was desperately trying to communicate.The result for a successful go getter like me: Burnout. For nearly two years I did nothing other than look after myself.Healing was the slowest thing I have ever done in my life.I could write hundreds of pages of my journey. I wouldn’t even know where to begin and where to end. But the one thing I want to share for sure is, that I am where I am today, because of everything that has happened in my life. I have had a lot of challenges in my life and moments where I didn’t know if I should go right or left. However, I am entirely grateful for the lessons because they made me who I am today.Dimples of Joy is a creation of someone who wants to create a more joyful world in a world which becomes more and more challenging every day.My wish for you is, to not be scared to look at your challenges. To not wait until all is fallen into pieces in your life, like it felt for me. But even if this is the case, there is a way towards more joy.
