Courage Project is a Tahoe-based, 501(c)(3) Nonprofit organization.Our Mission: Through mindful engagement in inspiring outdoor experiences, education, and training, we seek to enhance the lives of children who experience anxiety and depression while disseminating evidence-informed behavioral healthcare throughout the North Lake Tahoe region. We aim to increase access, reduce stigma, and establish a positive foundation for our community’s future mental health.At The Courage Project, children learn and apply state-of-the-art emotional coping skills while engaging in mountain activities by engaging in our free Summer Mindfulness Mini-Camps, Winter Day Camps or School-Based Outdoor Resilience Programs. Our expert staff introduce activities thoughtfully and compassionately to meet the unique needs of children who experience anxiety and depression, giving them access to previously inaccessible experiences.Your support of our educational initiatives, such as the 2024 Lake Tahoe Performance Summit, supports free, evidence-informed, adventure programming for youth in our community.
