He has done night navigation and winter night navigation training withMountaineering Scotland, along with other winter skills, winter navigation, winter climbing, and avalanche awareness courses. He leads night navigation and wild camping courses in the Ochil Hills and the Trossachs in Scotland, and offers wilderness leadership courses in the Cairngorms.
