ACTOR Shauna Macdonald

Shauna Macdonald is an award winning Scottish actor and artistic director of Edinburgh Youth Theatre. She is also the creator of Edinburgh Youth Cinema School, a free weekly film school for tennagers in Edinburgh and across Scotland online.Probably best known for credits including The Scotts, The Descent, Spooks, Dangermouse and Filth, Shauna has worked as an actor in the screen industry since 1999 when she was cast in The Debt Collector with Billy Connoly at the age of 16.With currently 65 titles on IMBD Shauna is also a renowned stage and radio actor. Shauna's accolades include winning the Royal Television Society award 2023 for best actor in The Scotts, The Stage award 2019 for Mouthpiece and Scottish BAFTA for best actress in a film.Shauna's resilience and determination to stay creatieve has allowed her to have a fruitful career as an actor and run an inclusive and accessible youth theatre which currently has 200 young people attend weekly classes in Edinburgh.
