Alafia Holistic was founded by Hazel Stewart -A complementary therapist in Sittingbourne, KentAfter studying and working within the NHS for over 40 years. Hazel is advocate for the NHS. She is however aware there are, alternatives or as she likes to call it, "complementary services" to the NHS. These services are used to manage acute and chronic diseases, which some traditional treatment methods fail to address. Hazel decided to research alternative methods of healing, which she covered in her dissertation for her Masters in Nurse Practitioner, Strategic Leadership and Expert Practice in 2004.Alternative Medicine quickly became a passion, for Hazel, she subsequently studied Alternative Medicine for many years before deciding to; share and practice the knowledge gained. Hazel continues to play a frontline role in the NHS as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in General Practice, where she has first-hand experience of the effects of dis-ease, which is often stress related. Hazel is enthusiastic she emphasises the importance of giving time to ourselves, self-love. To allow you to re-charge, replenish, refill your souls by readdressing, imbalances and restoring you back to health. By encouraging your body; to affect, positive change, for your mind, and soul whilst activating the healing YOU require.
