TheAUSA Suncoast Chapteris a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization dedicated to education and professional development under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code, serving America's Army and supporters of a strong national defense. AUSA provides a voice for the Army, supports the soldiers, and honors those who have served to advance the nation's security.All leaders of the Suncoast Chapterare uncompensated volunteers.Our HistoryFounded in 1971, the Suncoast Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) proudly serves the active duty, National Guard, and Reserve service members of the U.S. Army and their families across the central west coast of Florida. Our dedicated volunteer leaders and staff work tirelessly to support communities from Fort Myers to the Suwannee River, including Tampa, Lakeland, Arcadia, Ocala, Gainesville, Sarasota, the Villages and the surrounding areas. We have hosted the annual Army Birthday Ball in Tampa and awarded the annual General Paul Adams Award for over two decades.
