Austin Latinas Unidas (ALU) is part of The Latina Foundation family and a 501(c)(3) organization. We are a collective sisterhood for all Latina women in Austin, TX, and surrounding areas. Through curated events, we foster organic friendships and celebrate our culture and passions. We believe that through community we can all reach our goals, whatever that means for each of us.We've hosted workshops, pop-ups, marketplaces, outings and anything else you can think of to connect like minded woman. And if you don't identify as Latina but share our passion for cultura y comunidad, come on sista! Unidas Somos MejoresWe are also the creators of Latina Day Weekend. Every year since 2015, National Latina Day is celebrated on August 20. This day was created for Latinas to show their pride and be recognized for their strong influence in society. By honoring and celebrating Latinas as contributors to digital communities, education, business, and evergreen corporations we are highlighting the importance of celebrating the accolades of each Latina. Latina Day Weekend efforts is to continue to sharing the stories of Latinas everywhere.
