Azriel LaMarca

About

Azriel LaMarca has been teaching modern dance technique class at the Nevada City Oddfellows Hall for 15 years, and before that she taught in the Nevada Union High School Theatrical Dance Program. She has also taught creative dance for kids, creative dance for adults, contact improvisation, and dance-making. She has a BA in Theater Arts from UC Santa Cruz and has extensive performance experience as a dancer, choreographer and as a producer. She has performed professionally with the Zen Monkey Project, The Glass Bead Players, The Linda Bair Dance Company, and with her dance partner, Shari Brookler. Azriel is currently pursuing certification in the field of movement-based expressive arts therapy and education through the Tamalpa Institute.
