Bhakti Chakora Ashram is a local kirtan & bhakti yoga community in the greater Seattle area. Our home is in the Wedgwood neighborhood, where we have regular gatherings, but we also host events around the city. We like to have fun, make music, dance, chant, and host events that are totally free from drugs and alcohol. Get high instead on the bliss of bhakti! Our mission is to bring like-minded folks together in sangha to chant the names of the Divine through mantra music, discuss Krishna consciousness and the many aspects of the Divine, and feast on delicious specially-prepared spiritual vegetarian & vegan meals.Bhakti Chakora Ashram is a project of the nonprofit organization Vana Madhuryam USA, which is dedicated to reviving the teachings of ancient yogic philosophy of bhakti yoga passed down through our lineage (in Sanskrit, "Guru Parampara") and interweaving them back into the modern-day Western yoga scene. Our teacher, living master and guide is Srila Bhaktivedanta Vana Goswami Maharaja, a qualified and esteemed monk in the Gaudiya Vaisnava tradition from West Bengal, India. We find him to be the embodiment of sweetness, love, compassion, wisdom, and selfless service - and bet you will too! Jay Gurudev!
