About

CARS4COIL is a branch of the Center on Independent Living (COIL) and we are a 5.01(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving 28 counties surrounding Bexar County Texas. COIL helps people transition from Nursing Facilities to live back into the community. This is done by taking care of all deposits, first month's rent, buying groceries, clothing, appliances. We work very closely with other organizations for designated medical equipment, home modifications, and in home health. As an extension to that we started CAR4COIL. We receive donations of cars, boats, money, planes and trains (haven't ever got a plane or train but the possibility is there!) and use them to donate solid reliable transportation to those that are working but not in a financial position to buy a car. All vehicles regardless of condition are useful to us.
