The CERT Division of Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute researches complex cybersecurity, software engineering, and AI engineering problems. We increase the DoD’s ability to acquire, develop, deploy, operate, defend, and evolve mission-critical software that is more capable, affordable, trustworthy, and enduring. Creating and testing innovative technologies, we transition mature solutions into practice while looking toward far-term challenges.
