With almost fourteen years of experience in both the NHS and private practice, award winning dentist Dr Nalin Karunaratne soon realised there was more to his job than filling holes and fluoride varnish.With an ever-increasing battery of postgraduate education, tailored to give his patients the highest level of care with the utmost compassion and the latest knowledge, he prides himself on practising an integrated and holistic style of dentistry while always respecting the need for a sound evidence base.Nalin passionately believes in not only the mind-body connection but of course the mouth-body connection. You cannot isolate the mouth from the rest of the body because it is first and foremost, an extension of the gut and a portal to the external environment.His latest interests are the intimate link between jaw function, the teeth and good spinal posture, obstructive sleep apnoea and giving helpful preventive advice without reciting outdated, monotone guidelines.
