Eloise Takes on The World

Eloise Takes On The World is dedicated to supporting parents with a child in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) by providing comfort baskets and connecting them with essential resources.Eloise's parents, Colleen and Adam, had spent many years with her in and out of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago. When they found themselves in the PICU in September of 2021 they quickly realized how different it was from the other floors in the hospital.While there are numerous programs and support systems available for the children, Colleen and Adam felt a gap in parental support and education. Over the 7 months Eloise spent in the PICU, they navigated the available resources and acquired skills to advocate effectively in this unfamiliar environment. Now, they are dedicated to assisting other parents during those challenging times.
