Essie Hicks

Essie Hicks owns Dreamspace Natural Therapeutics, providing continuing education to massage therapists through seminars, and retreats. She maintains a practice in Yelm WA, and specializes in medical massage, myofascial release, Craniosacral Therapy and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. She taught massage, spa modalities and deep bodywork for several years on staff at the Alexandar School of Natural Therapeutics, and consulted for day and destination spas in the Pacific Northwest. Essie has over 25 years of experience in massage and natural therapeutics.Essie is a mother of 5 children, and has extensive experience with massage therapy for expecting parents, and collaborating with midwives and doulas. Currently she consults with midwives, OBGYNs and nurses in order to bring the most current information to massage therapists for pregnancy massage.She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, The International Association of Structural Integrators, The American Guild for Structural Integrators, and is a Certified continuing Education provider by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and the Alliance for Massage Therapy Education.
