Gianluca's Gift

Gianluca Cellucci was a beloved son, friend, and brother whom we lost suddenly and tragically on February 7, 2016, at the age of 22. Gianluca was genuine, loyal, determined, conscientious and fearless. He loved traveling, playing and watching sports and thrived when he was outdoors. Gianluca’s gentle nature and adventurous spirit touched and inspired all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. In his short life, Gianluca seized every opportunity and lived life to the fullest while encouraging his family and friends to follow in his example. A political science graduate, Gianluca was passionate about social justice issues and aspired to join local law enforcement. As a police officer, Gianluca would have worked tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of the disadvantaged.In supporting and furthering Gianluca’s passion for social justice, Gianluca's family and friends are in the process of creating a foundation - “Gianluca’s Gift”. Its aim is to support at-risk and underprivileged youth and to provide them with opportunities that would otherwise not be accessible. In doing so, we hope to ensure that the youth of York Region develop the same positive character traits and values that Gianluca possessed.
