Jacob's Well

Jacob's Well extends space at the table to all who come to our doors. It is a people-first place, with friendship - depth of community - as the primary reason we commune together. We recently asked the question, “What is Jacob’s Well?” Here are some thoughts we put together.Jacob’s Well is a “living space” in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. It is a place where community members gather to give and receive friendship and support. It is where friends become family. We come together to celebrate the good and lament the bad. At Jacob’s Well, we support each other as we laugh and cry.Jacob’s Well is a faith-based non-profit. We welcome all who come to our doors. There is room for everyone at our table. Jacob’s Well is a small place, with impact beyond our doors.The Well is not funded by any church or public organization. We depend on the generosity of the Friends of Jacob’s Well.
